The experimental video work “to understand”, is a compilation of image and sound material that was created in the Arctic in October 2024. Characterized by an exploratory and permeating approach, the video refers to precisely this search for traces. It conveys the urge to visualize processes that are in the state of dissolving, such as the melting of glaciers, whose irretrievable loss raises existential questions.
